What is a SIM card and where is it?

It is responsible for providing service and registering the phone to the signal towers. We have already placed the SIM card in the phone for you if you purchased a phone directly from Consumer Cellular, or one of our retail partners.

If you are bringing your own phone to our service, you’ll find the instructions for inserting and removing the SIM card for many of them in the manual for your device.
