How does SmartFlex work?

With SmartFlex, we'll send you free usage alerts via text and/or email when you reach 50% or 75% of your plan's monthly data limit. If you go over your limit, we'll flex you up to the next plan so you can maintain high-speed data for as little as $5/month. But don't worry — there's no overage or penalty fees.

If you find yourself using less data, you can always flex back down to a different plan by calling Consumer Cellular Customer Service or online in your My Account settings.

It's free to change plans or opt-out of SmartFlex anytime. Note, if you opt-out of SmartFlex and you reach the data limit of your plan, you will experience slower data speeds for the remainder of your billing period.

DISCLOSURE: Enabling SmartFlex automatically adjusts your current plan should you go over your data allotment. You can return to your original plan or disable SmartFlex at the start of the next billing cycle by calling Consumer Cellular (888) 345-5509.
